THE SPIRT OF THE PLANET AND NATURE
The earth is a living thing and controversial as this may sound, our planet has its own spirit, its own soul.
We can’t just keep pulling at the earth, taking and giving nothing back. We know that if we keep overloading a human organ like the kidney, we get sickness and perhaps ultimately death. The same is true with the earth. When we put too much pressure on her she responds, she needs to fight back for her own survival. Global warming is exactly this. It’s nature’s response to how we are mistreating the environment.
We cannot continue to do just as we like, ignoring the earth’s spirit. We have to become more thoughtful. If we do so, the earth will give us abundance. She is like a mother, very fertile and caring but if we keep taking too much, she can’t and won’t keep producing.
We must stop before it is too late. Some people are doing tremendous work in relation to the environment, but we all need to do our bit. We all need to sit up and realize that this is the responsibility of all of us and if we don’t take it seriously, future generations will pay a terrible price. Imagine a situation where your grandchildren or great-grandchildren have to live in a bubble or in a closed and confined area where everything - including the air they breathe - is controlled by a few people.
My experience of this wisdom in action:
Occasionally when I’m out walking on my own I am shown the energy of this earth of ours. It’s quite hard to describe, but it’s as if there is very powerful force coming up and out of the soil.
It’s like an explosion of energy bursting through all aspects of nature in the area. It causes trees, plants, even blades of grass to expand their own energy and explode simultaneously.
It doesn’t only affect plant life but also animals. I see energy around animals all the time but when this happens, the energy around the animal appears to rise and expand way beyond the size it would normally be. It keeps expanding until suddenly it bursts like a bubble and is gone.
I’m delighted and privileged when I am shown this. It makes me feel how precious our earth is. Imagine therefore how distressed and shocked I was some years back when I came across a stretch of river, not far from Dublin, which was stagnant and polluted. It was a stretch of river I knew and had fished in years before with my father.
I was shown the energy of the earth again. This time it was dull. It had no life or vibrancy to it. It didn’t burst forth into the air as it should have. Instead it came out weakly and had particles of dark colour in it. It wasn’t just the river that was affected, I could see that the energy around the plant and animal life in the area was also affected. This didn’t surprise me as all nature – including the human - is co-dependent.
